New to Gateway Fellowship

Welcome to WGTS Gateway Fellowship! If you’ve never attended one of our services and are thinking about coming soon, we hope we can help make your experience more comfortable.

What to expect
WGTS Gateway Fellowship is a NO-JUDGMENT ZONE–which means no one will look down on you because of the way you look, what you do or because of your past. You will notice that it is quite a relaxed environment. You don’t need to “dress up” when you come–wear something you feel comfortable in. We tend to see a lot of people in polo’s, khaki’s and jeans.

Music
The music you hear will hopefully be recognizable from songs you may hear on the radio from WGTS 91.9. Feel free to sing along–but don’t feel bad if you don’t! We do have the lyrics on the screen, in case you want to follow along. About once a month, we are able to feature a national recording artist that will lead us in worship and share a concert. Some in the past have included, Laura Story, Audio Adrenaline, Chris August, Chris Sligh and Heather Williams.

Messages
Following our music, we present a short inspirational message that we hope will encourage you in your spiritual journey and making Jesus more a part of your everyday life. The messages are typically presented by our staff chaplains, Terry Johnsson, Pete Garza and Jose Rojas. From time-to-time, we have guest speakers as part of special events and concerts.

Getting here
We meet at Takoma Academy’s Mrs. John Hopkins Memorial Chapel. If you’ve never been here or not familiar with the Takoma Park area, we offer driving directions here.

Parking
When you pull into the parking lot, you will see places to park next to the red building (that’s Takoma Academy) on the left. For our larger events, you may be directed by our parking staff. We meet in the Mrs. John Hopkins Memorial Chapel, which is the second entrance. You will see greeters helping you find your way into the building.
